Does it cost anything to list my property or service with HappyHunts?

Listing your property or service is 100% free with HappyHunts. 

What is the minimum acreage for listing hunting land?

How long does it take to create a listing?

Creating a listing with HappyHunts is quick and easy. Basic listings can be created in under 3 minutes. Our data shows that listings including details about your property/service as well as high quality images improve the chances of your listing being rented by 57%.

When will I get paid?                                     

Funds will be released to property owners and service providers within five days of a trip/service completion. Occasionally funds are withheld for a longer period of time for quality assurance, but typically fall within the five-day window.   

How much do I pay for a reservation?

Property owners/service providers decide how much they want to charge. In addition to the price set by the owner, your reservation cost will also include HappyHunts low service fees.

How much are service fees and why do renters have to pay them?

HappyHunts charges one fee: a 3% fee to renters with each transaction. This covers the cost of processing payments and running  Fees are only charged when a reservation is confirmed.

Do I have to use Paypal to pay

Paypal is the only form of payment HappyHunts accepts. We do this because your security is our main concern. Paypal is the most reputable and secure way of paying online and is the best way we can ensure your information remains protected.

Do I have to have a Paypal account to rent through HappyHunts?

Short answer: no. PayPal allows you to use your credit card without having an account. However, creating an account is quick and easy and allows you to track your purchase so HappyHunts highly recommends creating an account.

Do I have to have a Paypal account to receive money?

Yes. In order for HappyHunts to process the transaction you are required to have a Paypal account. You can get one for free here:

Are taxes covered in the purchase of the rental?

HappyHunts does not withhold sales tax. Property owners/service providers are responsible for following their state’s laws regarding taxes.

How does HappyHunts process payments?

1.    Choose the property or service you want to rent and the date range

2.    Click “Request”

3.    Review the details of the purchase and click "Checkout with PayPal". You will then be taken to the PayPal user interface for payment

4.    Complete the payment

5.    You will then be taken to a page that displays details from the transaction and will be notified that the seller needs to accept the transaction before the money is transferred.

6.    The property owner/service provider gets an email notification of a new transaction.
The property owner/service provider has 3 days to accept the transaction (if not, the transaction is canceled and not money is transferred). If accepted, the money is transferred to the property owner’s/service provider’s PayPal account. Both parties get a receipt of the purchase in their email.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, before a reservation is confirmed you may cancel without any penalty. If a reservation is retracted, expires or is declined we do not charge the service fees. If a renter cancels a confirmed reservation, they will not be refunded the service fee (*extenuating circumstances verified and accepted by HappyHunts excluded). If a property owner/service provider cancels the reservation the renter will be refunded in full including the service fee and the property owner/service provider will be charged an inconvenience fee of $25. (This charge is to cover transaction costs and customer inconvenience fees.)

*Extenuating Circumstances include:

·         Death in family

·         Serious illness or serious illness in the family

·         Natural disaster

·         Property damage

·         Maintenance issues that affect ability to safely rent 

In the case of a refund after confirmation, the renter will not be refunded the transaction costs, but will be refunded all costs outside of transaction fees.
